Waits-Mast '14 Nash Mill Pinot Noir
True vintage after vintage, the pale garnet color of Nash Mill is deceptive with regard to the wine’s power. The nose has laser precision in its aromas of blackberry and black currant and is layered with spice aromas of anise, clove and a hint of bay leaf. On the palate, blackberry and black plum are supported by the generous body of the wine and zingy acidity. The textured finish offers continuity of the fruit and spice as well as plush tannins and notes of cedar. This is the biggest wine in the lineup and would pair well with bolder fare such as prime rib.
