The Kapcsándy's (pronounced "Cup-chon-dy") purchased the State Lane Vineyard in 2000 and re-planted the entire parcel in ’01-‘02 with recommendations from their 1st winemaker, Helen Turley and her husband, John Wetlaufer. Endre, the middle name of both Lou Sr. & Louis, Jr. - is translated as "Andrew" from the native Hungarian. The 2012 Endre, basically Kapcsandy’s second wine, is aged in a combination of French and Hungarian oak. It is a gracious, soft, meaty red displaying notes of spring flowers, cedarwood, licorice and Christmas fruitcake. A lush medium-bodied mouthfeel, a seductive, soft entry on the palate and an attractive finish. It’s delicious, up-front, supple and best drunk over the next 7-8 years.
