Ugni Blanc is the most widely planted white varietal in the Mediterranean and is a large component of the crisp and minerally whites of Provence. Typically planted on windswept limestone slopes in south France the one-acre planting at Kiler Grove in West Paso Robles is no different; planted on the highest, windswept limestone slope the site produces fruit that evokes the fresh herbs, salty air, and sunshine that dominate the smells of Provence.
